题目：Some people think the increasing business and cultural
contact between countries is a positive development, while others
believe this will lead to the loss of national identities. Discuss
both views & give your own opinion.
解析：
这个题目属于国际经济和文化的话题，看似有一定难度，需要结合经济发展和文化交流方面的素材来写。
甲方观点：全球化能够促进经济发展。国际贸易能够提高生产力（increase the
productivity），这样每个国家能够专门集中发展某些行业（focus on some certain
industries），然后和别的国家交换产品 （exchange their
products）。这种做法还能够在发展中国家创造就业（create more
jobs），让发达国家的人买到便宜的商品。你在国外是不是经常买到一些Made in
China的东西？此外，文化交流能够使人们有宽阔的胸怀（broader
mind），减少因为误解和文化差异导致的冲突（conflict）。
乙方观点：有些国家或地区的文化是独一无二的（unique），但是它们慢慢被同化了（be assimilated）。年轻人痴迷于（be
fascinated by）外国文化，不了解本国的历史和习俗。这些本地文化可能会慢慢消失，这是人类文明（human
civilization）的损失。另外，大家去其他国家旅游，买到的产品全都一样，看到的景观（landscape）也一样，连国际旅游都不如以前那么令人向往了（appealing）。

题目：The natural resources such as oil, forests and water
are being consumed at an alarming rate. What problems does it cause
and how can we solve these problems?
解析：
这个考题是环境话题里面最典型的题目之一，基本把上课讲过的环境话题素材整理一下就可以了。
能源消耗造成的后果包括：能源短缺影响经济发展，降低人们的生活质量（lower people's living
standard）。能源储量（reserves）有限，但是消耗（deplete）得太快。如果能源危机爆发（break
out），会出现油价上涨（soar），经济下滑（economy decline）。还有水资源短缺，分配不均（unbalanced
distribution），而且浪费严重，缺水会导致生活不方便（inconvenient）和生产中断（be
disrupted）
消耗燃料还会造成环境污染，这个也是写过很多次的素材了。包括空气污染（air pollution）和雾霾天气（smoggy
weather），对健康造成威胁（pose a threat to people's
health）。还有破坏森林的行为可能会导致水土流失（soil erosion）和极端天气（extreme weather）。
解决办法写了两个方面。政府和企业可以开发一些替代品（alternatives），举了一个清洁燃料的例子（clean
fuel），这个例子在讲剑8-3的时候也讲过。还有一些个人的措施，包括少开车、节约用水、节约纸张，这些都可以减少对自然资源的消耗和保护环境。

王陆8月23日口语考试经历
（首先确定的一点，829口语考试用的是旧题目，预测在后面，不变化）
今天下午14.30考试，我在13.50就到了，因为怕路上堵车啥的。最近北京经常限行。
口语提前考试需要携带打印的准考证和身份证，那张照片笔试的时候才交的呢。
门口保安管理比较严格，建议带去准考证比较好。
然后去照相，有些女生耳朵露不出来还需要皮筋扎头发呢。
然后去等待。
之后排队坐电梯，1-36个口语考场。
上楼到了自己考场门口发现考官在等着呢。刚放好东西就叫进去了。
然后特别说明录音是为了监控考试。
我的考官是美国人，语速超快，而且因为起来晚了，脑子不转，终于理解同学们的口语问题在哪里了，听着考官说每一个词，但是连在一起就不知道什么意思，整个人都不好，全是乱猜的。大家是不是这样啊？所以听力特别重要的呢。
9月3-6日晚上，4名贵学老师专门针对9月新题开设口语课程。9月考生一定来啊。

Thanks to the
advancement of technology andeconomy tied to
education, an increasing number ofeducational approaches have been
developed. Facing such a great deal ofprogressive teaching methods,
nowadays traditional education mode becamesuspicious. Examination,
a traditional teaching method, is suffering fromcriticism as some
people believe that it has negative effects on students;however,
people hold divergent views regarding this issue.
Examinations have
downsides and functionimperfectly. Understandably, sitting an exam
is not an impeccable way forteachers to examine students'
performance, and for leaners to acquire and applyknowledge
effectively. Apart from enormous pressure brought by taking exams,
itmay confront students with the feeling of failure. If, for
instance, a studentdoes not perform well in exams, the poor result,
which could not reflect hisother abilities such as creativity, but
only memory, would depress him, thusmisleading him. Furthermore,
concentrating woo much on examination, studentstend to memorize
concepts only and would risk learning nothing of much use
inaddressing problems in this real world.
Conceding that exams
are the most effectivemethods to check up the extent to which
students memorize the new knowledge,many people, nonetheless, argue
that exams benefit students. Before using newideas and concepts to
deal with problems in the real world, a student ought tomemorize
the new knowledge so that he can get a framework first. Only with
theconceptual frameworks already in position, would he be better
able to utilizewhat he has learnt. Meanwhile, examinations enable
teachers to examinestudents' memorization of new ideas and
concepts, and to help students enhancetheir weak parts of
memorization.
Since examinations are
only tools that helpstudents to form the knowledge frameworks, I am
convinced that learners shouldtake appropriate exams along with
practice.

题目：As well as making money, businesses should have other
social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or
disagree?
解析：
这个题目算是一个比较难的新题了，关于企业的社会责任，可以从这样几个角度去考虑：企业为什么要承担社会责任？承担什么责任？承担了以后会有什么好处？如果不承担有什么坏处？这些角度都可以写。
我选取了两个比较好写的方面。1.企业通常比较有钱（be powerful in
finance），承担社会责任能够减轻政府的负担（relieve the burden），比如资助教育（provide
fund），能够提高人们的教育水平，同时培养的人才（qualified
personnel）也可以反过来为企业服务。2.承担社会责任能够提升企业的知名度（enhance the
reputation），例如发生了自然灾害之后，企业会给灾区人民捐赠（donate money and
resources），这样有助于企业树立良好的形象（set up a good image），从长远来看（in the long
term）能够带来更多的利润。
按照双边论证的思路，还是写了一个让步段。企业优先关注（give priority to）自己的生存和发展（survival and
development）是很正常的，如果让企业不顾自身利益只为社会服务也是不现实的（unrealistic），但是我们仍然希望企业在追求利润（pursue
its profit）的同时能够考虑怎样能够为社会做一些事情。

题目：As well as making money, businesses should have other
social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or
disagree?
解析：
这个题目算是一个比较难的新题了，关于企业的社会责任，可以从这样几个角度去考虑：企业为什么要承担社会责任？承担什么责任？承担了以后会有什么好处？如果不承担有什么坏处？这些角度都可以写。
我选取了两个比较好写的方面。1.企业通常比较有钱（be powerful in
finance），承担社会责任能够减轻政府的负担（relieve the burden），比如资助教育（provide
fund），能够提高人们的教育水平，同时培养的人才（qualified
personnel）也可以反过来为企业服务。2.承担社会责任能够提升企业的知名度（enhance the
reputation），例如发生了自然灾害之后，企业会给灾区人民捐赠（donate money and
resources），这样有助于企业树立良好的形象（set up a good image），从长远来看（in the long
term）能够带来更多的利润。
按照双边论证的思路，还是写了一个让步段。企业优先关注（give priority to）自己的生存和发展（survival and
development）是很正常的，如果让企业不顾自身利益只为社会服务也是不现实的（unrealistic），但是我们仍然希望企业在追求利润（pursue
its profit）的同时能够考虑怎样能够为社会做一些事情。

问题1：lulu老师，我知道雅思考试必须掌握一定的词汇，但是我不知道语料是什么，有多重要。
王陆：这个问题问得很好。很多同学熟悉词汇，但是在实际考试中，总觉得单词会"有劲使不上"，这就是因为学生不熟悉"语料"这个概念。英语的语料是在实际使用中真实出现过的语言材料，包括但不限于词汇。语料是动态的，也是经过提炼和分析的。我们都知道英语没有"普通话"，在实际应用中，很多语料的用法因人而异，甚至因地而异。这样，单纯的"基本"应用跟实际生活有很大的差异，所以剑桥强调"语料库"，这也体现了剑桥考试的先进性。你们仔细看"剑8"，对语料库做了特别的标识。
问题2：既然语料库很重要，为什么还需要背单词？
王陆：单词是基本应用，就如同要先学会走才会跑一样。
问题3：雅思听力的词汇量究竟有多大？
王陆：雅思听力词汇很丰富，但是主要围绕着国外常见的学习和工作场景。其中需要拼写的词汇大概5000词汇。另有1000个左右词汇会影响考生的答案判断。
问题4：雅思听力的语料大概有多少，有什么特点？
王陆：听力的单词本身不难，但是会涉及到很多灵活运用，所以语料的作用非常重要。比如对于oo，在剑桥的语料库读成doubleo，由于连读、略音和变调，会很容易误听成w。因此，我们把剑桥的语料库分为七个部分。第一部分是生存语料。多数出现在section1和section2，这里有基本信息的各种语料。第二部分是复数拼写语料库，主要源自剑桥真题，考生需要熟悉名词的复数形式，让自己的耳朵对剑桥的答案具有更强的亲和力。第三部分拼写语料库，第四部分是拼写规范。这两部分词汇是彻底解决拼写错误问题，能大幅度提高填空题的有效得分率。第五部分是特别名词语料库，第六部分是形容词语料库，第七部分是动词语料库。这三部分语料根据词性划分。之所以如此，是因为在考场上，考生先预读题目，然后根据预读结果对答案有一定的语法评估，能够估测答案的词性，在听的过程中更有助于辨别答案。此外，在这三部分词汇中，名词语料是最多的。第八部分是流动性语料。这些语料往往会标志着新的信息出现或者能够表示态度、观点等。这部分语料源自剑桥1-8中的答案出题点。对于判断答案的正确性有很大帮助。第九部分语料属于连读、吞音、混合语料训练。这部分是把前七项语料特征进一步混合，同时添加连读、吞音、变调等实际应用。这八部分构成了完整的语料库。
问题5：陆陆老师，雅思听力语料应该怎么掌握？
王陆：雅思听力有五大难点：反应，拼写，生词，发音和单复数。因此整本语料库以听写训练为主，每个单词都需要快速准确反应，正确拼写。有四个过程。第一步，基本语料听写。这部分语料主要是英音。考生先做听写练习，然后比对书中的答案，并且在每章后面的统计表里面填写评测结果。之后再背诵的时候要结合CD光盘。第二步，特殊语料听写。还是同一份材料，读音相对国际化，语速也快一些。考生在听完之后，继续完善评测结果。第三步，魔鬼跟读。通过跟读训练，强化自己的耳朵对音的辨别能力。这三步算一个周期。之后你会发现自己的听力能力有实质性飞跃。最后一个阶段叫做"超越语料"。也就是说，你已经把这些语料充分掌握，自如地运用到听力和口语中去，达到了听说并进的效果。
问题6.
您强调听说并进，那么听力语料和口语语料可以同步背诵吗？
王陆：有一定重合，但是对于不同科目的考试，在语料的掌握上会有不同的侧重点。
问题7.
这本书仅仅是听力语料库吗？
王陆：包括但不限于听力语料。这本书是通过提高考生的语料水平而直接提高考生对答案的敏感度。在整个语料库编排过程中，渗透了应试技法的讲解，与雅思听力的答题方法相吻合。比如，雅思听力考试在周四或周六上午9点正式开始，持续30分钟，在听完音之后有10分钟时间抄写答案。在听音记答案的过程中，可以使用各种帮助记忆的内容和笔记形式。在本书中就有章节关于多字母长词如何用缩写，或者其它的笔记形式。这样可以保证考生在写答案过程中能记住自己所写内容。
问题8．听力考试中只采用英国口音的英语吗？
王陆：不是的。考生在考试中会听到多种口音的英语，所以请大家要熟悉各种发音，尤其是英音和澳音。同学们必须尽力去适应这些口音。在准备考雅思听力期间，尽量少听美语的东西。口语考官有美国人，但是不多。所以在《雅思王口语真题语料库》中有少量美音的东西。
问题9：听力答案可以全大写吗？
王陆：在听力中，可以采取答案全大写的形式。什么是全大写？MONDAY、PRESENTATION、TUTORIAL、SEMINAR
GROUPS、FERBRURY
18 (18 FEBRUARY, 18THFEBRUARY, FEBRUARY 18TH, 18th FEBRUARY,
FEBRUARY 18th）都给分，另外，放在右上角也给分，请大家不要怀疑，我自己考试验证过。如果采取这种方法，必须所有的答案都大写，不可以不确定的大写，确定的小写。保证一致。我自己采用的全大写，我的雅思成绩听力9分，全球评分标准是一致的。
问题10.
点式听力是什么？
王陆：要求考生在平时训练的过程中，不使用暂停键，抓住核心语料，快速反应，正确拼写。这种训练方式跟考场实际环境是一样的，是考生必须掌握的训练方法。书中的相关章节会有详细说明。
问题11：雅思听力中什么要强调魔鬼跟读法？
王陆：雅思听力中，口音呈多样化。其中有一些口音是考生不适应的。魔鬼跟读法主要提高考生的语音敏感度，书中的相关章节会有详细描述。
问题12：您为什么强调复数听写法？
王陆：这一点非常重要。所谓的复数听写法是指不仅要能够反应出名词的单数形式，也要关注名词的复数形式。因为汉语中，我们对"们"的概念比较弱，这就造成了英语中不喜欢加s，这样会引发语法错误。比如，我们汉语中会说"桌子，三张桌子"，但是不会说"桌子，三张桌子们"，可是英语中确是"desk,
three desks"。有一些单词复数形式会有特殊变化，因此就更需要引起考生注意。但是这部分单词不是很多，只要重点掌握书中所出现的内容就可以。

政府的钱应该怎么花？关于政府投资的话题一直是近期的高危话题。这个题目可以用到很多我们上课讲的一些万能素材和词汇表达。
首先我们来看看甲方观点如何写。支持医疗的理由：医疗是人的基本需求（basic right）。很多国家都是政府提供免费医疗（free
of charge），这是一项最重要的福利（welfare）。穷人也可以获得和富人同样的医疗服务（equal
right）。人们可以享受更高质量的生活，（不用担心"辛辛苦苦几十年，一病回到解放前"high cost of
medication），可以把钱花在旅游和休闲（leisure and travelling）。
乙方观点认为还有比医疗更重要的方面，比较好写的就是教育了。这里使用了很多政府投资话题的万能词汇。包括预算（budget）、分配资金（allocate
the fund）。如果把钱投资教育，比如修建教学楼和图书馆，能够提高整个国家的教育水平（educational
level），能够为社会提供更多合格的人力资源（qualified human
resources）。反之，如果政府提供免费医疗，很多医院可能资金不足（be
underfunded），医疗服务的质量可能会下降（decline）。
最后一段个人观点写的是政府花钱应该合理分配（distribute the budget
reasonably），找到一个平衡（strike a
balance）。这些都是最常规的结论段的套路。上过老徐课的同学应该都会写的。提醒大家：千万不要以为政府投资话题考过了，接下来就不需要看了。这是雅思考试里面最基础、最重要的一类话题和素材，应该每次考试都准备着，而且这些表达可以套用到很多其他题目。
