题目：Countries with a long average working time are more
economically successful than those countries which do not have a
long working time. To what extent do you agree or
disagree?
解析：
最近几天一直在写前三个月的范文，感觉7/8/9这三个月的考题真的是险阻重重，有些题目看似平淡无奇，实则不好下笔。今天这个题目就是如此，国家发展的题目我们讲过写过，工作类话题我们也讲过写过，但是这两者搭在一起，论证其中的关系，其实是很有难度的一个题目。老徐为什么把每次的题目都写一遍，因为唯有亲自动笔，方能体会其中的门道，才能给你最贴心实用的写作指导。
如果你要问什么是难题，什么是容易题，我可以给你一个大概的说明。凡是那些考查简单语言技巧的、本身素材很丰富的题就很容易；而那些考观察力、说理性强的题目就比较难写。凡是那些雅思考试多次出现的常规题比较容易；而那些出其不意的新题就比较难。不过话说回来，再难的题目，在"老徐雅思"的范文里面都变得容易了
今天这个题目，经济和工作时间的关系问题，我采用了比较少见的一边倒的方式，虽然中间也用到了一定的让步。我感觉工作时间短的国家的经济也许更发达一些。首先，经济主要由科技水平决定，发达国家的人们其实工作没那么累，不发达国家的人反而工作得比较苦逼。我认识的一些正规的国际机构的员工，每年带薪能休好几个礼拜，再看看咱们。。。其次，经济发达以后，休假时间反而多了，比如中国，20年前的周末是只有一天的。那些90后的烤鸭们，你们是否觉得每周休息两天是与生俱来的？最后一条，工作时间短了，休闲多了，工作压力会减少，效率会增加，所以工作时间减少有时候反而能促进经济发展。也许有一天，当我们的经济足够发达了，我们也能像那些老外一样，每年20多天的带薪休假。。。

解析：
这应该是雅思考试第一次考核能的话题，但上过课的同学对于这个题目的素材应该不会太为难，因为我在环保类话题当中提到过这些新能源，也总结过相关的一些词汇。它的好处是缓解能源短缺和能源危机的问题，并且不会造成排放carbon
emission，不污染空气和环境。至于核能的弊端，大家可能觉得核能是一种危险的能源，有人甚至谈核色变。日本的核泄漏事故至今仍然灾害不断，这就是一个很好的例子。所以说，核能不能算是最好的能源，人类还需要进一步开发和寻找更清洁和更安全的能源。

从7、8、9三个月的考题来看，偏题和抽象题目不断涌现，略举几例：太空旅游、和谐社会、从众心理、人工智能等等，还有一些旧题目重新拿来考，也不是特别好写的题目，比如是否应该拆除老建筑，现代人是变得更相互依存还是更独立等等。希望今年最后三个月能够多考一些常规题。当然，即使是偏题怪题，其实也都可以用常规题的素材来写。这一点大家从我的范文中应该可以看出来。
下面这个题库是给那些真正想做练习的同学准备的，基本还是那些经常考的话题类别。每一类题目都练一练，考试的时候将各种素材进行组装即可。
1. Memorization of information by frequent repetition (rote
learning) plays a role in many education systems. Do the advantages
outweigh the

2. Schools should concentrate on teaching students the academic
subjects that will be useful for their future careers. Subjects
such as music and sports are not useful. To what extent do you

题目：Some scientists think it is very soon that computers
will be more intelligent than human. Some people think it is a
positive development, while others think it is a negative
development. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
解析：
又是一个颇有挑战性的题目，虽然属于科技类，虽然有大家最熟悉的computer，但这个题目的本质是写人工智能，artificial
intelligence。如果要说类似题目的话，2011年1月8号考的那个机器人的利弊的题目和它相似度挺高的。
写这种题目可以多来点例子，不然就显得比较空洞了。估计有不少同学看过那些科幻片里机器人带来的灾难，所以大家比较容易想到这个事情的弊端，机器人暴动的话很容易失控的。除了这个点之外，我们也可以写写课堂上讲过的机器的话题，比如机器可以提高工作效率，把工人解放出来。但机器使用过多也容易使人养成依赖性等等。
今年的科技类话题考了5次左右，大家需要继续关注。

题目：Some people think that in this modern world people are
getting dependent on each other, while others think the modern
society gets people more independent on each other. Discuss both
views and give your own opinion.
解析：
坑爹题目年年有，今年似乎特别多。虽然这个题目曾经在08年7月24号考过，但是估计还是让很多同学没有防备。这种题比较抽象，而且是两个完全相反的方面。应对的办法就是从不同的角度去写，然后举一些例子。比如，现代社会劳动分工更加细化，所以生产和消费都需要依赖别人的劳动。在工作当中大家需要很多合作，所以变得更加依赖彼此。另一方面，人们也变得越来越独立，刚好上周考了一次关于家庭变小的话题，可以用来作为大家追求独立生活的一个例子。此外还有我们写的非常多的科技类话题，网络发达导致了各种"宅"，也可以佐证一下当代人的独立个性。
如此看来，还是我说的那个方法，用各种常规话题和常规素材，解决各种不靠谱的题目。
