The IELTS exams in Australia and Japan were the same, according to test takers S and K. Here is what they remembered:
Listening test
Section 1. Two students were preparing for a presentation.
Section 2. A man was explaining about shops in a town.

Questions: diagram / map labeling.
Section 3. The speaker was talking about favorite activities in a country town.
Section 4. Don't remember.
Reading test
Passage 1. Darwin's theory of evolution. Two scientists were trying to prove the theory on birds on an island.
Passage 2. About a town in New Zealand and how it's changed since people from different countries started migrating there.
Passage 3. About the efficiency of managers who are running a company.

Writing test
Writing task 1 (a report)
We were given a triple line graph, showing the amount of people going to movies in a week in 2003 – 2005 in a European country.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
These days couples decide to have children later in their life. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? How is it affecting the family life and society?
