题目：Some people believe that the best way to build a
happier society is to ensure that there are only small differences
between the richest and the poorest members. To what extent do you
agree or disagree?



解析：

大年初二的雅思作文题目，缩小贫富差距，建设幸福社会。感觉还挺应景的一个题目。这种社会话题稍有点抽象，有点类似于去年9月21号的考题，建设理想社会的重要因素。此外，2010年1月23号也曾经考过关于贫富差距的原因和解决办法。


这个题目仍然可以从两个方面来分析，从正面分析，缩小贫富差距之后，穷人会更快乐，因为他们的生活条件更好，并且不会再仇富（Envy /
resent）。富人也可能变得更快乐，因为如果贫富差距大，其实他们活得也不踏实，缺乏安全感（lack the sense of
security）。从反面分析，贫富差距太小并不见得是好事情，那样的话也许变成了共同贫穷，就像50年前的中国一样。人们会失去工作的热情和动力，而且对于那些intelligent和talented的人来说并不公平。


所以说，公平是相对的。"均贫富"有利也有弊，所以政府应该采取措施保证合理的收入差距（reasonable income
disparity）。
